Welcome to British Trainz. This is a fan site for the Trainz railway simulator series.

 

Here you will find freeware releases made by myself (Marky7890) for trainz. The scenery items are mainly based on real buildings around Cornwall and West Devon (for routes I'm currently building). I have reskined several trains mainly Class 150s and 158s. I have also built detailed Class 153/155s. You will also find details of my first (and only) released route (Liskeard - Looe). We also have a popular forum for British content creators and Trainz players to discuss the game.

Cornish Railways v1.4 Released April 29, 2023
The next version of my Cornish Railways route is now out which includes a rebuilt of the Saltash and Western Plymouth areas with much more accurate LIDAR height data as well as expanded baseboards and lots of assets replaced with newer and more detailed models. A few smaller changes have also been made through out the route such as more lineside vegetation between Plymouth and Liskeard.
The route can be downloaded from our Routes page. It will sadly not be on the Trainz DLS as it has now gone past the size limit.

 

New Route: East Cornwall & Branches January 6, 2019
This route covers the Cornish mainline from Plymouth through to Lostwithiel a distance of 30 miles, and takes about 45 minutes to drive. It also includes the branch lines to Gunnislake, Looe, The Bodmin & Wenford Railway and the freight line to Fowey Docks. Enjoy driving through the scenic Cornish countryside with rolling fields, rivers, estuarys, wooded valleys and passing through small market towns.

 

New Route: Bodmin & Wenford Railway November 28, 2018
The Bodmin & Wenford railway is a heritage line in Cornwall, around 6.5 miles in length. From Bodmin General the line splits into two.

 

Heading East is the 1887 GWR branch built to connect the Cornwall mainline to the town of Bodmin, which runs through down the steep wooded Glynn valley to Colesloggett Halt and finally Bodmin Parkway where it meets the mainline.

 

Heading West from Bodmin General is the GWR 1888 branch to Boscarne Junction, a more scenic open stretch with rolling fields down the Camel valley.

Welcome to the new British Trainz website. I've given the whole site a fresh new modern look with less clutter.

 

I have also got rid of some of the pages which I feel were no longer needed and never updated.
